2018 Endowment Grants are Available Now

The Christian Covenant Endowment Committee (CCEC) invites individuals and committees to submit 2018 grant applications.  Grant money is now available to fund new ministries and projects that support the mission of NLUMC.    A few examples of projects that got started/supported from past grants include the youth’s Christmas programs; the prayer shawl ministry; Eagle Scout projects; a Church, music lending library;  a remodeling project for the youth room; and hand chimes for the bell choir.  If applicants need assistance or have questions (e.g., what kind of ministries can/cannot be funded), they can contact any CCEC member.   Application forms are available at the Church Office and online. 2018 CCEC Grant Application Form

A grant application should be turned in to the Church office so it can be forwarded to the CCEC.  If you prefer, you can opt to meet with the CCEC members to present your application.  If so, please contact Mark Obenchain at 734-475-9211.  The CCEC is usually able to notify the project leader of grant action within 30 days of the receipt or presentation of the application.

Grant applications must be submitted or presented prior to August 31, 2018.  Since grant funds are limited, it is advised that applications be submitted as soon as possible.

Please be aware that approved 2018 grant activities must be completed and grant monies spent by December 31, 2018.  The project leader of an approved grant will be responsible for submitting a brief, final report, including an accounting of expenditures.
