United Methodist Men (UMM)

The men of the North Lake United Methodist Church and their invited guests gather on the second Saturday of the month at nine o’clock am in the church fellowship hall for Christian fellowship and devotions.  A full-course English breakfast is also served which includes: bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and milk.  We try to adhere to “Green” investment, therefore china plates, mugs, and non-plastic silverware is used.  A freewill donation is accepted of which 100% is passed through to a recognized charity selected by the men of the church.  Currently we are sponsoring the Heifer Program which is a worldwide organization specializing in agricultural activities focusing on third world countries.

The attendance at the Saturday morning breakfast varies depending on the season of the year.  We do not gather for breakfast during the months of June, July, August, September, or October.  There are approximately 33 men who attend or who are members of the North Lake United Methodist Church.  Of that number, approximately 65% gather for the Saturday morning breakfast.  Important note:  Any man who is not a member of North Lake United Methodist Church is more than welcome to gather and break bread with us on Saturday morning.
